Black-chinned Hummingbird Makes Her Nest with Hummer Helper

"Here is an image of the female Black-chinned Hummingbird using spider silk to bind her nest together and attach it firmly to the vine.  You can actually see her tongue sticking out as she works, and clearly visible at the top of the nest is the Hummer Helper nesting material which we saw her take.  Ta Dah!  I put it several feet away and she made good use of it." - Beth Kingsley Hawkins
