Eklunds Wild Bird Gift Line Becomes Part of Songbird Essentials

An Agreement has been reached between Eklunds and Songbird Essentials where in effective September 1, 2009 the Wild Bird Gift Lines previously marketed by Eklunds has been acquired by Songbird Essentials of Mexico, Missouri.  The Eklunds line is best known by the Mad Bluebird® image (photographed by Michael L. Smith) which has been produced on Flags, Cups, Puzzles, Sun Catchers, Pillows, Magnets, Memo Pads, and other items.  Other top sellers in the Eklund line include items containing the licensed designs “Nosy Junco and Pipe Dreams®” by Shane Dimmich, Entertaining Friends® by Jim Rataczak, and Chorus Line ® by Adele Earnshaw. 

All products presently marketed by Eklunds will be continued.  In addition several Mad Bluebird items (pillow – sun catchers – puzzles) that have not been available in recent months will once again be offered as soon as supplies of these products can be obtained.

Coming Soon -- A customer “What’s Next?? – You Pick ‘em Promotion” has been launched where in Songbird Essentials wants you the business owner and consumer to help us pick new images to offer.  Please know we also need your help on (1).  What items would you like to sell with the new image on it?  (2).  Your ideas as to a “Perfect Name” for the image involved.  If you have or know of any other images feel free to forward us your ideas.  We will be offering free products, discounts, or other rewards to those who submit or vote for winning images.

Many of you have found that by promoting gift & functional item together by the subject (Cardinals, Bluebirds, etc) you sell more of both types of products.  It’s Songbird Essentials mission to continue to provide independent retailers unique “Gift” items to promote which are not available in nation wide discounters.
